About us
Sorbonne Artgallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of France's largest university: La Sorbonne. Created in 2015, this gallery is supported by the Art&Flux research team under the direction of artist and university professor Yann Toma.
Located in the Soufflot gallery of the Centre Panthéon (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Sorbonne Artgallery keeps the heart of this world-renowned institution of international learning beating with a rich and varied program.
Envisaged in the spirit of an artist-run space, the gallery aims to create a circuit of artistic experiences and shared knowledge between students, teachers, professionals and visitors.
With over 70 exhibitions since its creation, Sorbonne Artgallery has made a name for itself by working to enhance the scientific value of art and promote high-level research-creation. Sorbonne Artgallery is a showcase for artist-researchers from all over the world, inviting the public to look at the world differently, and elsewhere.
Sorbonne Artgallery is attached to the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
