About us
The Sorbonne Artgallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of the largest French university: La Sorbonne. Created in 2016, this gallery was brought to the attention of the Art & Flux research team under the direction of artist and university professor Yann Toma.
Located in the Soufflot gallery of the Panthéon-Sorbonne's Center, the Sorbonne Artgallery makes the heart of this internationally recognized institution of international knowledge beat faster with a rich and varied program.
Envisaged in the spirit of an artist-run space, the gallery aims to create a circuit of artistic experiences and knowledge shared between students, teachers, professionals and visitors.
With more than 21 exhibitions since its creation, the Sorbonne Artgallery has made itself known by working for the scientific promotion of art as well as the promotion of high-level research-creation. She embodies the exhibition space for artist-researchers from all over the world, inviting the public to look at the world differently and elsewhere.
The Sorbonne Artgallery is attached to the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
